Welcome to the Utilities section of the Finance Department. The Public Works Department, along with its Water Services Division, strives to provide a number of essential services to Surprise citizens. Our goal is to provide exceptional, cost effective sanitation, street maintenance, water, wastewater, recharge and storm water services to all Surprise residents. The municipality provides weekly collection of garbage and recyclables, and bulk trash on a quarterly basis. The City of Surprise contracts their billing and collection for utilities with Arizona American Water Company.
