The Civil Division of the City Attorney’s Office is responsible for providing advisory and transactional legal support, which includes preparing opinions, contracts, deeds, ordinances, and resolutions. The Division also defends and prosecutes civil actions on behalf of the City.

Criminal Division
The Criminal Division of the City Attorney’s Office is responsible for prosecuting all misdemeanors and civil offenses that occur within the City. The Division also provides legal support and training for the City’s Police Department. The Criminal Division also houses Victim/Witness Services.
