The Surprise City Council approved the 222-HOME Housing Counseling Needs Program, in which city staff will assist home owners experiencing a housing crisis.
Through the 222-HOME program, knowledgeable employees will provide residents with valuable referral information to a variety of national housing stabilization, or pre-foreclosure mitigation programs.
It is important to call 222-HOME before your situation becomes dire. If you have no income or have been notified of foreclosure, other resources may be able to assist you.
Who should call 222-HOME for help?
Residents who have had a recent change of circumstance such as:
- A reduction in income, such as a job loss in the family
- An increase in an Adjustable Rate Mortgage (ARM) that makes the monthly payment no longer affordable
