The Surprise Sundancers, founded in 2002, are the official Spring Training volunteer organization of the Kansas City Royals, Texas Rangers and City of Surprise. The Sundancers are a registered 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that currently consists of over 800 members!

The Sundancers provide volunteer services at the Surprise Recreation Campus to compliment the Royals & Rangers Spring Training Games and other City special events. As a non-profit volunteer organization, the Surprise Sundancers raise charitable donations and receive contributions to support greater Surprise/Northwest Valley youth-related programs and projects, including the award winning Dreamcatcher Park!

Spring Training Schedules will be mailed out!
All Sundancers will be getting the Spring Training Schedule in the mail so they can check the games they would like to work. These will be mailed out as soon as possible. They are due back to the office by January 8!
Become a Surprise Sundancer!
Surprise residents and non-residents may join the Surprise Sundancers. You must be at least 18 years old to join. Volunteers must commit to working a minimum of seven to 10 events or Spring Training games per year. Click here for an application.
