Traffic Restrictions
Improvement work is underway at the intersection of Dysart and Waddell roads. The intensive roadway improvements begin in Jan. 2010. Motorists will incur traffic restrictions at this intersection from now until mid-year 2010. This is a joint project between the cities of El Mirage and Surprise to widen Dysart, Thunderbird and Waddell roads where they meet. The City of Surprise’s share of this improvement was addressed in a previous council-approved budget. Traffic signal and railroad improvements, including adding gates on all four intersection approaches, are also part of the work. SR303 and Bell Road
Will have lane restrictions in all directions to allow for roadway improvements to be performed. This project is managed by the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Dysart Road and Grand Avenue
Beginning Monday October 5, 2009 Dysart and Grand will have lane restrictions in all directions to allow for roadway improvements and traffic signal upgrades. Left turns onto Grand Ave from Dysart Road will be prohibited during construction. This project is scheduled to be completed on or before March 30, 2010.
