Come celebrate the 4th of July with the City of Surprise! The Community and Recreation Services Department will be hosting the 27th Annual 4th of July Celebration on Saturday, July 4 from 5 pm - 8:30 pm in the Surprise Recreation Campus - Surprise Stadium. This year's event will feature a Rookie League Baseball Game with the Texas Rangers taking on the Chicago Cubs. Kids can have fun in the Kid Zone with giant slides, obstacle courses, face painters and balloon twisters. The evening will also feature a 20 minute firework show set to patriotic music following the game. Concessions stands will be offering a variety of food and ice cold beverages including $1 peanuts, popcorn, popsicles and $2 hot dogs and Coke (limit 2 per transaction). This event is a free family event, with a donation of a canned food item. Tickets will be required for admission and can be picked up at the Community & Recreation Services Office.
