DreamCatcher Park now a Dream Come True

SURPRISE, AZ (March 26, 2007)  The long awaited DreamCatcher Park, a unique facility designed for access by the physically challenged, officially opened Saturday to applause and positive reviews.

Officials with the city of Surprise and the Texas Rangers took part in the opening of the long-awaited park on Saturday, March 24.  The day featured an inaugural baseball game played on the artificial field, a softer, resilient surface than a typical grass field.  In addition to baseball, the field can accommodate football and soccer, even rugby, according to the city’s Community and Recreation Services Department.

Located at the Surprise Recreation Campus, DreamCatcher Park is designed for use by all populations.  Fans can enjoy the games from shaded, stadium-style seating.

For more information on DreamCatcher Park please call 623.266.4500.
